Thinking about adding on to the family, or have already??? When getting a puppy there are several topics to learn about to best care for your puppy.  We are here to help with a variety of topics for client education like vaccinating, nutrition, heartworm/flea preventatives, training, and so much more.

It is highly important for puppies to have a full series of vaccinations, much like human infants.  These vaccinations help to protect your puppy from highly contagious deadly diseases, and are done at intervals to optimize and maximize your puppy’s immune system’s response.

Puppy Vaccination Schedule:

First Puppy Visit: 6-8 weeks old

  • Puppy Exam – to evaluate your puppy for proper growth and overall health
  • Fecal Parasite Test – tests for Intestinal parasites commonly found in puppies
  • Distemper/Parvo/Corona Vaccine
  • Start Heartworm & Flea Prevention

Second Puppy Visit: 9-11 weeks old

  • Puppy Exam – to evaluate your puppy for proper growth and overall health
  • Distemper/Parvo/Corona Vaccine
  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough) Vaccine
  • Start Heartworm & Flea Prevention

Third Puppy Visit: 12-14 weeks old

  • Puppy Exam – to evaluate your puppy for proper growth and overall health
  • Distemper/Parvo/Corona Vaccine
  • Leptospirosis Vaccine
  • Give Heartworm & Flea Prevention

Fourth Puppy Visit: 15-17 weeks old

  • Puppy Exam – to evaluate your puppy for proper growth and overall health
  • Distemper/Parvo/Corona Vaccine
  • Leptospirosis Vaccine Booster
  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough) Vaccine
  • Give Heartworm & Flea Prevention

Fifth Puppy Visit: 16 weeks old

  • Puppy Exam – to evaluate your puppy for proper growth and overall health
  • Rabies Vaccine
  • Give Heartworm & Flea Prevention – at this time a 6 month supply may be purchased

Sixth Puppy Visit: 6-7 months old

  • Spay or Neuter
  • Heartworm and Tick Borne Disease Testing
  • Fecal Parasite Test
  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough) Vaccine
